Celebrate Summer Solstice and National Indigenous People’s Day by joining us for a film screening of The Grizzlies.

Following the screening, a panel discussion will explore the themes presented in the film, with an opportunity for audience questions and participation. Guests are then invited to a live lacrosse demonstration in the Aga Khan Park led by Cameron Bomberry and Leon Henhawk. Note this demonstration is weather dependent.

The Grizzlies

Inspired by an incredible true story, The Grizzlies is a powerful and inspiring film about a group of youth in a small Arctic community in Nunavut who come together through sport to overcome challenges, build friendships, and find hope. When a new coach introduces lacrosse, a team of young people discover strength, resilience, and the power of supporting one another.

Filled with heart, humour, and unforgettable moments, The Grizzlies is more than a sports movie — it’s a story about courage, community, and young people creating change.

This film is rated R for language and contains drug and alcohol use among teens. Recommended for ages 15 and older.
